DANCE ARTIST / PLANT SCIENCE RESIDENCIES

In collaboration with the Crespo Foundation & Dance Cork Firkin Crane.
For 2022 / 2023 UCC Creative has partnered with the Environmental Research Institute, the Crespo Foundation (Frankfurt) and Dance Cork Firkin Crane to develop two pilot residencies for Irish / Irish-based dance artists in collaboration with plant scientists from UCC in response to Glenkeen Garden in West Cork.

UCC Creative is an initiative to develop and advocate for creative practice at UCC in lively collaboration with local, national and international communities, festivals and creative / cultural industries.
UCC Creative Events include public art commissions, workshops, showcases and residencies.
UCC Creative Captial Build is part of UCC’s Strategic Plan and enacts the centrality of creativity as a core value of the university. This building is planned as a beacon for Artistic Practice, Research and Transdisciplinarity within Ireland and internationally.
UCC hosts six artist residencies, a classical quartet foundation and a public concert series. This dynamic outward facing engagement with artists across multiple disciplines involves collaboration with the Arts Council as well as local / national arts organisations / public bodies.
UCC is also home to the Glucksman Gallery, the Jennings Gallery in the College of Medicine and Health and the Granary Theatre.
