Tatiana dos Santos is an Afro-Brazilian dance artist and theatre maker based in Dublin. Her work is deeply rooted in the exploration of belonging and the shared experiences that unite people across boundaries. During her residency Tatiana will develop a new multidisciplinary cabaret theatre work, and offer workshops / mentorship to UCC students and local communities. Tatiana holds a Master’s Degree in Dispute Resolution and as a socially engaged artist, cultural mediator and equity & diversity consultant, she is focused on the potential of peace building to tackle racism. We are delighted to appoint Tatiana to this position as the 2025 Artist in Residence for the UCC – Cork Opera House collaboration.

 

                                                                                          



Residencies are offered in Film, Irish Language Arts, Literary Translation, Theatre, Traditional Arts and Writing. UCC hosts six artist residencies in partnership with The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, Literature Ireland, Nano Nagle Place, Cork Opera House and Ealaín na Gaeltachta.

UCC Creative is an initiative to develop and advocate for creative practice at UCC in lively collaboration with local, national and international communities, festivals and creative/ cultural industries.

UCC Creative Events include public art commissions, workshops, showcases and residencies. 

UCC Creative Captial Build is part of UCC’s Strategic Plan and enacts the centrality of creativity as a core value of the university. This building is planned as a beacon for Artistic Practice, Research and Transdisciplinarity within Ireland and internationally.

UCC hosts seven artist residencies, a classical quartet foundation and a public concert series. This dynamic outward facing engagement with artists across multiple disciplines involves collaboration with the Arts Council as well as local /national arts organisations/ public bodies.

UCC is also home to the Glucksman Gallery, the Jennings Gallery in the College of Medicine and Health and the Granary Theatre.
